Beating EPUB

Want to keep EPUB books from Overdrive longer than their limit?

1. Download your book from your library. See search.overdrive.com

2. Download Calibre:

3. Download INEPT plugin

4. Unzip the file

5. Open Calibre
Preferences> Plugins

Load plugin from file,
Browse to the zip gile from step 3.
Select ineptepub_v01.7_plugin

6. In calibre Cick Add Books, then browse to the epub you want. For me these are in the folder:
C:\Users\\Documents\My Digital Editions

It copy the book into a folder in Calibre library.
Click the open link next to path on the right side to browse to the new epub folder.

7. Copy the epub to iTunes if you want to use iBooks

This worked for me on a Windows 7 64 bit system.

2012 Middle Half marathon

I set out this summer to hit my goal of 1:30 for the Middle Half marathon in Murfreesboro, but bronchitis in September took a lot out of me. I actually feel really good about my time considering that I really didn't train well.

I finished 50th overall, and my average pace was 7:23.

Congrats to Stephano finishing under his goal of 2:00 with a time of 1:56:09.

Independence Day!

I saw this as part of a post over at dailypaul.com

All over America, licensed drivers and their legal spouses will leave their heavily taxed homes and travel in their government approved vehicles to government owned parks to watch licensed technicians launch regulated pyrotechnics into the air; as long as they make it through the security checkpoint. And call it a celebration of freedom!

2012 Scenic City Half Marathon

I had set out to get under 1:30 for this race, but that did quite work out. This course I had some big hills, and I think of I ran the Oak Ridge course I would have gotten under 1:30.


The other annoying thing was there was no announcement of the start and I didn't hear a gun go off. The result was I started near the back and had to spend the first mile or so weaving through people. This also hurt my time.

I finished 33rd overall on net time (34th on gun time), and 5th in the M30-34 age group.
